Inspection Now indicator
Is there a way to reset “Inspection Now” light on 718 Boxster 2017 MY?
I had 111-point check done for extended warranty 6 months ago and clearly the mech forgot to reset the light, as I have Inspection Now 6 months later.
I don’t feel like driving 50 miles to do a reset, if it can be done at home.

You need a scan tool. Be cheaper to drive back to the dealer

AS above, need a PIWIS scanner. Also, 'inspection now' may mean that it's due for some type of service - was any actual work done six months ago or was it just an inspection to get the warranty? If the latter, there was nothing the mech should have done; the system only should be reset to reflect service.
If you're due for 6 year service on the car (2017 -2023), it's an oil change, drive belt, and a few other things that escape me at the moment.
If you do indeed just need the light reset, check for an independent Porsche mechanic closer to you.

Did they change the oil 6 months ago?
Inspecting things is different from a full service

The primary reason was that my A/C had to be fixed. Two condensers later it was working again.
When they did the 111-point check, they found leaking oil seal. They replaced the oil seal and IIRC they replaced engine oil, so I suspect it would be some other check.

Given the scope of the work performed, it indeed should have been reset. Is there a local Porsche club or independent mechanic available to you? If not, it sounds like you're stuck with a drive to the dealer.
In the meantime, although the light is annoying, you can drive without worry.

Thanks guys, I have a local Indy, but to maintain the warranty I use OPC, or original Porsche centre, as they are called in the UK. However, in this instance I am willing to go off piste, as clearly the work has not been completed.
I will visit the Indy next week and report back.

Visited closest indy in the next village, he can do it … in a month’s time(?)
I will have to make few calls and if all fails, travel 50mi to OPC.

It depends on your mileage. I would do oil firs and see if it clears it.
