Here's my 7th Porsche a Cayman T which got on 9/25/23 from Porsche Plano in Dallas TX
I went almost 4 years without a Porsche and in depression, not doing anything, seldom leaving the house. This car has bought me back to the fold again.
I am trying Rennlist as suggestion from a friend I met on Planet-9 where I've been a top poster for the last 2 months.
So I'm here to see why he says Rennlist is better than P-9.

Beautiful car! Welcome! This is one of the best forums I've experienced and I've experienced more than my share.
I can't tell if you're joking about not leaving the house and all, it seems so, but given the world events of the last four years, who knows. I hope you're kidding, but if not, well, the Porsche community is certainly a welcoming one. So either way, I'm glad you're back.

I missed a chance to get pics of the car taken apart for PPF. Mirrors, door handles, intake & exhaust grills, door cards, all off to do paint correction and then replace the PPF. It looked like a car on the assembly line.
I went back this morning but they had already replaced most the parts. There is a possibility that the shop "On the Spot Detailing", with shops in Lecanto, Ocala and Wildwood (the Villages) FL took pics. If so, I'll post them.

Someone questioned whether I was kidding about the depression.
No, not at all.
For most of 3 years my normal week was go food shopping at Walmart on Thursday morning, maybe stop at the ATM or go to the bank to make a deposit.
Then back home to watch game shows or Dr Pol with my bedridden wife.
I didn't do any yard work. The only time the GTI got washed was when the dealer washed as part of the annual oil change.

Well, I hope the joys of both Porsche and community prove therapeutic for you. I know during COVID-19 lockdown my friends and I would take drives together, in separate cars, while chatting on the phone. That was fun. 😁

I am a different person now. I think missing all my friends from Metro NY PCA added to that.
I'm talkative, I am doing things around the house and yard, working on the cars.
Life is life again. Crazy that a car would do that.

Very glad to hear that. Cars can absolutely be therapeutic on so many levels. And us Metro PCA guys can be fun too 👍😜😋
