Maybe you shouldn't say anything. There's a thread over on the 718Forum site that has assembly line picks of recently built and soon to be delivered member cars. Those cars all have different wheels that were spec'd. So the pic of yours is likely how it will be delivered.

Are you saying, what the car is pictured with is what came when delivered?

Remember, the rim pictured with my car does not exist anywhere. It's not an option.

Adam - I agree with Bob Z. that those rims look great!

Have you considered the configurator is wrong? Wouldn’t be the first time

Yes, but the SA has never seen these in all black. My friend just received his car with the same codes that I ordered and they have the aluminum outline. No one has ever seen these rims in all black.

Unless it's a mid year change of design and mine are the first. And the online tool isn't updated. And no one knows about the change. And... See why I'm thinking it's a mistake?

So, is this a brand new, mid-year change in wheel design, or did I somehow get a total anomaly? I tried searching every other model for these rims and I can't find them. Is this strange or what? (I sure hope I don't trash a rim on a pothole on this one-off rims! lol)
Just got word back from my SA about the wheel issue. I'll quote him:

"From ‘the horse’s mouth’ regarding the wheels:
It is indeed the latter and the configurator is correct, the facing edges remain in a polished finished and only the insides of the spokes are painted in Satin Black."

SA said that "Head of sports car product at PCNA" gave him that info.

Cheers

Cool, thanks for checking. I have confirmed that my rims are being sent to me as shown in the photos. I'm so excited! Not only because I love how they look, but being a true "1 of 1" makes for a fun story to tell at car events too.

There must be a black protective film on the edges to prevent scrapes, etc.

Default Attn: 2022 GTS buyers with Carrera Sport Wheels

If you ordered a 2022 GTS with 20" Carrera Sport Wheels in any shade of black, and if you received a picture of your finished build on TYD, please post that picture here. My build date was Nov 24, 2021. I'm trying to determine if my rims are a factory-error or there was a mid-year change in how they are finishing these rims. Here's a pic of both rims side-by-side.

Mods,
thanks for moving this post. Hopefully someone else with these rims built after mine will come forward. My car should arrive before New Year's.

Wow, they are real after all. I would tell the dealer you did not order them, which you did not, but will keep them if they give you a credit of some sort.

I didn't play that card. I was too giddy to have a poker face. Besides, I paid below MSRP. I got no complaints.

So the configurator was wrong…lol, like that’s never happened before.

Those wheels are what I’d expect Satin wheels to look like.

Congrats!

The configurator is not wrong, the wheels are wrong. We'll know for sure when @drive95 gets his car, or anyone else who ordered these rims. But my wheels seem to be a factory error. So a documented 1 or 1, so to speak.

When is your car scheduled to be built?
