I guess no one has named the wheels yet. I'll name them Roxanne.

My guess is that those are just temp/roller wheels they used in the factory while waiting on the actual parts, possibly due to the current supply chain issues. I really doubt Porsche would deliver a car with a wheel combo that the customer didn't order and that they don't even offer. I agree that they look better, but I'd bet you car will come with the wheels with the silver outline.

Maybe, and I hope not, but don't they look awfully nice to be rollers, with brand new tires? And the car went right out to Emben. When Ford had supply issues with the carbon fiber rims on the GT350's, the cars sat off to the side in the factory awaiting rims before they left the factory. I mean, this is not like sending a finished car without TPMS module due to chip shortage to be installed later.

But then again, you could be right! I just really hope not.

I've speced this wheel for my BGTS4 order and I will not be a happy camper if they come in all-black. That's the reason I didn't choose Satin Platinum, in fact.

Same here. I am now nervous about this. Not that the black is terrible but I picked the wheel with that silver edge for a reason!

When are both of your cars scheduled to be built?

If you had a fender bender (unlikely I'm sure) and needed a replacement rim, how do you know what they would send?

I was thinking about that too, and buying rim insurance (NY potholes and all). But I would just get the stock rim and have a local shop paint or powder coat it I guess.

Does anyone have this rim on order that they can post their TYD pic? I'd love to see a pic taken after mine with these rims. My car was built on 11/24/2021.

This should be interesting. Do you know where your car is yet? If PEC LA then perhaps you can call someone there for a pic. My buddy is trying to figure out how to do a ship-to-shore call with my captain to verify the rims! (kidding).

Someone posted here that in the past they found someone who works at Emben and they sent pics of their car there. I'll have to dig through the threads for it. I would LOVE to get a pic of the car at the port and verify the rims.

@JBSea the question is, will you lay eyes on your car before or after I see mine? Ah, the joys of being car crazy!

I do not know exactly. It is off the boat in Houston but I do not know if it has been moved to LA or is sitting in Texas or what. I could ask. I go back and forth on WANTING to ask and trying to be patient but not asking too much and just being unaware (ignorance is bliss right?)

ASK! lol
Are you kidding? I'm sitting here composing an email to VW at Emden hoping someone can go grab a selfie with my car! But I'm almost afraid that if these are a mistake and I alert them to it, they'll pull the car and swap out the cool black rims! lol

But for you, I'd say you should call Porsche PEC LA and ask them if someone can grab a pic of the car. How could would that be for your files!
