Default 20" Carrera Sport Wheels in Satin Black

Anyone have 20" Carrera Sport Wheels in Satin Black on their car? Think they look pretty sharp but don't see many. Would definitely need to be ceramic coated. Space between spokes makes it easy to clean the outer barrel but wondering if they're still a nightmare to keep clean?

I had them in gloss black on my racing yellow 2018 718 Boxster GTS. Loved the look, I think they're great, and I would have had them on the Spyder I replaced the GTS with if I could have. As often as I had that car hand washed, dirt on the wheels was never a problem.

I have the nearly identical Carrera Sport Classic 5-spoke wheels on my 991 and the Carrera Sport Wheels on the 718T. Much, much, *MUCH*, easier to clean than bazillion-spoke wagon wheels. And RS Spyder wheels? There! I am insane now.

I ordered them on my Cayman GTS 4.0 and agree with the points made above.

Very cool, I did some research and see you also ordered the Burmester audio. With all that's been going on do you have any idea when you're car is arriving? Would love to hear more when you get it.

With that design I would think it would be easy to clean and maintain

Default Agree regarding maintenance

Agree. Also similar to the 911 style wheel. The standard wheel resembles an aftermarket wheel to me.

Indeed, I generally try to work with the default rim as upgrading can be costly and sometimes a better value to purchase after the fact. But in this case the asking price seems fair. I actually managed to find another member who got these rims on a GT Silver Cayman. I've posted his pic below. Love how the rim gives the sense that the rear tire is busting out of the wheel well. Looks very ballsy IMHO.

This --^ reminds me. I forgot the one completely functional reason (the other thread) for the 5-spoke wheels. They are 8.5/10.5 rather than 8/10s of the default 20" wheel. And thus do they assist in the 'busting' out.

Different wheel, but same color. I find they get dirty quickly, but they are super easy to clean. The before pic is after I drove it in 2 or 3 weeks of particularly wet weather. The primary offender seems to be water slinging out of the rotors carrying rust and dust with it. The after is what the wheels look like right after a wash. I probably spend less than 5 minutes a wheel with just car shampoo and a microfiber towel. I daily drive the car, so I don't get crazy about all the nooks and crannies. If I wash once a week, the barrels of the wheels are not very dirty at all. (Sorry I got one front wheel pic, and one back...)

I have them on my 2017 CS. Yes, they get dirty (I have standard rotors). Yes, easy to clean. Yes, they look amazing!

Default 8.5 & 10.5 Widths

I just looked at the configurator and it appears all three CGTS wheel options are 8.5/10.5" widths. No offsets are shown for the standard wheel, however the other two wheel offerings (Turbo & Carrera Sport) are 47/57 so presuming the standard 718 wheel is as well.

Unfortunately it appears they're not. Here's the default GTS rim in Aurum finish, size is the same.
