Thanks for all the comments everyone, i appreciate it. I reached out to the dealership and they informed me that someone has already put a deposit down on the car but will let me know if the deal falls through. With my luck, I am sure I won't be hearing from them...so, yeah...a bit disappointed, but i think it is a little unrealistic for me to think I can find and buy a car the same weekend I started to look. Anyway, the hunt continues and I think I will enjoy the ride.
I do have a question that I posted in an earlier post. I will be trading in my Tesla to purchase the cayman, but for instances where I find a car in another state (like the one I just lost out on), what is the best way to go about moving forward? Do I sell my car locally for what i see as a fair price for my car or drive my car to the state that the car I want is located and take my chances that I do not get a low ball offer for my trade in? The Miami Blue Cayman was in Jersey so that would have been a 6 to 7 hour drive. Would suck to go that far or farther only to be given a trade in value that is less that stellar.
Once the dealer finds you traveled six hours with your Tesla trade-in, you will receive a lower price than if you lived an hour away. The dealer will have you over the barrel.

I have done this before. The best way is to sell your car locally and get a one-way rental to pick up your new car, if need be. But if you want to trade it in send them pictures, VIN#, and everything else you can think of so they can give you a fairly accurate idea of what they will give you, which will most likely be trade-in/wholesale value, unless you are paying full price for the new car, and if so they may give more.

Yeah, I think I will do that...just sell it here and get the rental. I think the is the easiest way to go, thanks!!
DO NOT buy a Miami blue car until seeing it live in person and deciding that you like it. Miami does not photograph accurately. There is more green in it that photos typically show and it's a love it or hate it color. View one in person and then decide.
You are welcome. Yes, the 981 sound does come alive in the higher RPM's. The 718 isn't bad either, though. If I have a chance in the next few days I will try to take the 718 out for a spin to refresh my memory and let you know what I think. I rarely get to drive it, hard to get my wife to give it up. She is absolutely in love with the 718. Having said that, she is driving the 981 last week and this week, won't give it up for a least a few days more!

I can honestly say that unless it is parked right next to a car that is Mexico Blue you will rarely see green, if at all - here are a couple of mine (at least through tomorrow when it gets picked up):

Yeah...mine doesn’t look like that. My MB GT4 is closer to the color seen in this photo. For the life of me, I can’t capture it on my phone, so I use this picture instead.
I love teal, so I’m super happy with it.
And here it is in bright sunlight next to Riviera and Voodoo.
It’s a pretty aggressive color so yah, not for everyone. But i think it’s fun and really enjoyed so far. I bought used and did a full color correction and ceramic coating.
Id say it does got a lot of attention from people asking what is the color, etc. or just washing the car outside, people wanna stop and chat.
