I used the nut that is for securing the the fuse box.
Not a good ground. Use the bolt for the door stay and test again.
I just put a Thinkware U1000 in my wife’s 991. Row B and C should be hot and row D should be switched. Unless 982 wiring is completely different, which I doubt.
Actual harness ground points are behind the dead pedal; not fun to get to, but necessary eventually.

Ok. With that ground, if you can't find power on the fuse panel then there is something amiss with your discovery methodology.
It's "fiddly" to get a circuit connection through the exposed bit on the labeled-side of the fuses. If your probe is too big you won't get contact.
Make sure your multimeter works by testing it against a battery.
Unused slots in the fuse panel should still have the power rail connection (bottom connector for each fuse slot.) You can use the probe on your multimeter on that connector in any open slot.
I compared the fuse panel layout between the 991.1 and the 718 and there are no significant differences in this context. B and C should be constant power and D should be switched.
are you using power magic pro too?
I'm not sure I remember what that is. Is that the external battery?
I used the "hard wire" kit that came with the U1000. I'm using the optional Radar unit for parking mode so steady state draw is <~50 mA.
I made a pigtail harness with a Molex connector to the U1000 harness on one end and on the other a ring terminal for ground and two fuse panel crimp-on connectors so as to make use of an empty slot in each of row C and D.
I recently installed a Blackvue DR750X-1CH in my GTS 4.0. I assume the fuse boxes are similar or the same in the GT4. I used the passenger side fuse box. Slot C5 for battery (always on) and D3 for ACC (switched power). Those slots are vacant and unused. A similar ground terminal, as picture above, is also located under the carpet on the passenger side. The 750X has a built-in parking mode that monitors the vehicle battery and switches off at a preset point. I did not install a Power Magic Pro. I don't actually use the parking function.
I had the right setup at the first place!!
The reason why it wasn’t working is that I did not start the engine to let it bumps up the voltage.
After Tried different fuse slots and ground points for numerous times I finally solved the question.
Thanks for fuse information, this will come in handy. I will be installing V1 and Blackvue dash cam in my Boxster GTS.
I installed the Blackvue dual camera setup in my M5. I found switched and constant power. The Power Magic Pro is excellent, monitors battery power in the car and will shut down the camera when the battery gets below your chosen voltage. The switched power actually stays on for about 7 minutes in my M5, so the camera is by default on for 7 minutes after I stop. Kind of handy for a quick stop in a store without needing hit the park switch. Kind of a pain because the radar detector stays on for that same period.
I have to figure a good (cosmetically) location for the rear camera in the Boxster. I wish they sold a 360 coverage version. One can hope. LOL.
With the info in this thread (@TOY4S :thanks!) i was able to hard wire my blackvue b-124 battery. I had to snip the blackvue ground terminal off and crimp on a larger one. I pulled the carpet back a bit more on the passenger side fuse panel area and found a ground lug shown below:
you need a 13mm socket to undo the ground nut.

Thanks for this. I ended up using D3 for a switched power source for my BlackVue B-124X
All of my empty/unused fuse slots do not have a second lead to plug a fuse into unfortunately. I don’t know why this is.
