Damn that sucks because I've only seen ABS bumpers for the prev gen, wonder why it hasn't been done for 718's

The ABS ones are from American companies and I expect that one day you'll see a 718 GT4 version, but who knows when. This one was 100% Chinese. They never use ABS and I was naive to believe them when they agreed too easily and for no extra charge to do it in ABS. Believe it or not, when I found out it would "only" cost me $700 to ship the massive wooden crate back to China, I actually attempted a return, which was another total nightmare that I highly recommend you never attempt. It's common for AliExpress sellers to say they'll accept a return and then abandon the cargo in customs without paying, stiffing you with storage and customs fees while you scramble to have it disposed of, all the while contesting that you even returned it to them in the first place. And you can't likely ignore the situation because they will bill the US logistics company who will then come after you and likely turn it over to debt collectors state-side. Good stuff.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to jump on a plane, fly over there and knock on the door of the seller and see the expression on their face as you drop the pieces of crap at their feet...one can only dream.

This thread, after much anticipation, ended exactly the way I thought it would.

Default GT4-ish

Just did this on my CGTS with all OEM parts. Ignore the VERY dirty car (it lives at the track). Very happy with the way it turned out. It was not cheap, but easier than I originally anticipated.

Looks like a very nice result. What wing do you think you will use for the back or leave as is? Were there any major fitment issues or everything go into place nicely?

I have a factory wing that will be going on the car very soon. This is why I went with all OEM parts, I figured Porsche knew what they were doing when they designed the aero for the car, and since this is a track car I wanted to keep it as Porsche intended.

No major fitment issues, although I did buy every single part. The two big things to look out for are 1) you need the radiator from the GT4 2) the fender liners are different. Other than that everything lines up surprisingly well. If people are interested I can start a new thread with a parts list as to not hijack this thread.

Good eye! The color match is actually spot on, what is throwing you off is that my PPF is discoloring . I think the heat from too much track time is taking a toll on the PPF. But when I put it next to the actual paint the match was perfect. I'll probably end up re PPFing the entire car and it'll fix it right up.

STEK, but I don't want this to turn into a PPF blame game. I think it's a very good PPF and I will be using it again.

What are the details? Part numbers? Other weird things you had to do to make it work?

I think I speak for everyone when I say we'd love to see a HOWTO! No rush, but it would be an amazing contribution!

I agree, and I think link to a new seperate thread would be a good idea.
