Update: No, haven't signed an NDA. Wish I had reason to! Lawyer promised to let me know when inspection will take place. At this point, I assume in Feb. Think the only way P-Atlanta will pay attention is if something gets published regarding Porsche loyalty to consumers. Working on it. Will keep all informed.

Anyway, I think I would just be happy to get full insurance payout (minus detectable) and get a new car, (the 4.0 would be the one), too many unknowns for Porsche to be responsible, but good luck in any case.
Oil is a combustible. https://firefighterinsider.com/is-mo...-be-surprised/
When there's an oil leak in a car, it doesn't just leak downwards. The oil is pressurized and will spray out from wherever it can and combined with the swirling air around an engine bay, it can end up in all sorts of places including coating a hot exhaust component and combusting.

Update: Inspection set for March 24. To be attended by Porsche NA, dealer, and other folks I don't know. I plan to attend and document on video or pics Also, looking for a local or free lance reporter to go with me, to cover P-NA's lack of loyalty to P-car consumers. .Any other thoughts appreciated.

Update: The March 24th inspection was postponed by one of the inspectors due to medical reasons. They will re-schedule for the end of April. Stay tuned.

Been almost a year , I wonder if they lured the OP for this inspection , then "eliminated" him

More likely that they made him sign a STFU NDA as part of a settlement. At least I hope so, for OPs sake.

Sorry for the delay in updating. But, the case was just settled. It took 2 years! My insurance company settled for 48% of the claim, $28k on $60K. I received a pro-rated deductible reimbursement of $240.

No NDA signed. I’ve been busy and haven’t pursued any kind of “goodwill” deal with Porsche. As mentioned in earlier posts, they wouldn’t even agree to a free oil change on another P-car.

As told by many, including long time PCA members and a few P dealers, Porsche brand loyalty only seems to work one way….from us to them.

It really pisses me off. On the other hand, for me nothing comes close to Porsche, so I went ahead an bought another one, a 29K mile 6-speed 2009 997.2 4S Cab.

Thanks all for your kind attention and comments on the fire!
