I agree they look quite a bit different, but then there is a pic of a 928 also included in the AG paint palate page: I can't figure how to transfer it to this post(would love to know how).but its the last car shown, parked next to a red 928. It looks very much like the 718 in tone.

This one?

Agree it looks closer but still a bit more emerald than the khaki/olive of the current models. Would love to hear definitive answer.

*EDIT* - looks like different paint codes too:-
90's AG is 39S
2020 AG is M6T

hmmm
looks nothing like the AG they put on 993s.
No surprise I guess tho with differing lighting / cameras / compute monitors.

Hi, I realize those are the standard wheels, but what wheel paint option is that? Looks great. I’m ordering an AV and want those wheels.

Even when I saw a 992 in person in that colour, I wanted it even more.

My wife saw a 992 in gentian blue when we went together to place a deposit.
so we ordered the blue one

Happy wife, happy life. Simple.

thanks. Seems the 718 configurator does not do the colors justice. The car and wheels come across slightly more “matte” online.

They aren't very close at all. AG was the USA launch color for the '95 and it was very nice, if not Oak Green Metallic. The new AG has a bit too much grey in it for my taste (for a green). I was excited when they announced the return of AG, but "it ain't the same".
At least Porsche has two "greens" on their palate (for now). If they would only bring back Anthracite or Macadamia to have at least one brown. Maybe they know I'm not in the market right now so the only possible order for a brown car isn't likely to happen.

AG is breathtaking in person, and perfect to me. Only challenge is no interior color goes well with it...for me.

Hopefully Shark Blue will be released before 982 ICE production stops.

I'm also debating AG vs. GB. Have seen GB in person and it's beautiful but need to see AG in person first before closing.

I live them both and I’ve seen them both in person. I ordered Aventurine Green but that doesn’t mean I prefer it. I just wanted something subtle compared to the Gentian Blue which is more flashy. I really don’t think you can go wrong with either unless you fail to get the Aurum wheels; then it’s a total fail.

I picked up my Aventurine Green Cayman GTS 4.0 about 3 weeks ago. I am willing to meet you half way which would be around the Walnut Creek area. PM me if you are interested.

Default Aventurine Green 718 on video

I made a video with my AG base 718 2.0 MT — hope it's useful:

Thanks for the video, seeing an718 in AGM like that helps confirm my choice was a good one. My 718 GTS 4.0 is in Jacksonville awaiting shipment to PEC Atlanta for my delivery on April 1. I previously had a 981 GTS in DBM with Espresso leather and loved it, but the opportunity for a 4.0 was hard to ignore. I chose AGM because I'd had several blue cars and wanted something different, Carmine red and chalk were my other two choices but the added cost led me to AGM. Color is a very subjective thing and no one color is "right" since everyone is different. Mine will have Espresso/Cognac leather and I think it will please me very much. I had rather not have a Porsche in a color everyone else has too, thus AGM.
