Nice driving. Don't we love traffic when we are passing them
I’m running 19’s as my shop recommends for more tire options. I was very hesitant to run 305’s in the rear as no body seems to go nearly that wide, but my shop has a lot of racing experience and knows their stuff. They’ve been running this setup for years on all of their cars so I felt comfortable. I love the setup, I feel glued to the track. :-)

19", as I expected. Definitely better than 20" for tracking seems to be the common wisdom. I will keep an eye out for you at Homestead. Sending you a pm.

Here is my lightly modified GTS - HRE R101s, Cup 2 245, 295 tires, Giro Disc. I plan to install a DSC V3 and have Tractive RT coilovers and GT3 LCAs on the wishlist.

I do like the look of those Recaro buckets as I tend to slide around a bit in the 18-ways. I probably would have got the carbon buckets in hindsight. I am really not fat enough for the 18-ways!

I'm also looking forward to chasing down a few 911s/GT3s in the next Tarmac rally event! A few mods and these cars are very fast through tight circuits with a lot of cornering!

i think +10mm makes both front and rear wheels looks smaller like a 19 inch wheels, as someone commented. At the same time, the wheels looks more flush to the tires compared to the default size. I have P-zeros on it that has the lip protection to reduce kerb rashes to occur. Michelin or other tyres brand may have different result, as my friend who has Eagle F1 with 275 at the rear doesn’t have the same issue of the wheels looking like a 19 inch.

Hello

With your 19 inch 245 Fronts and 305 rears.....what is the profile of the two different sizes? Did you stay with the standard Cayman S 40 series ratio?

Thanks

My shop had is custom made for their personal Cayman. They moved to a 911 so I grabbed it from their car. Its looks awesome, I'll find out where they had it done.

Yes, I believe they are the same offsets. The wheels are OZ.

2018 GTS
Current tire sizes:
Front 235/35 ZR 20
Rear 265/35 ZR 20

Has anyone upsized to:
245/35 ZR 20
275/35 ZR 20?
I would be curious to hear some feedback on this too as even see some pics if available. Porsche obviously knows what they are doing, but it is a somewhat odd choice to spec more narrow tires which are stretched on wider wheels. From an aesthetic point of view I don’t find the stretched look appealing.

Thank you for the compliment, its a blast.

We installed;
GT3 Control arms front and back
Tarett camber plates front and back
Ohlins coil overs

These upgrades really made the car predictable and planted more than I could have imagined.

Question

[QUOTE=ced357;16574965]A few shots of my GTS. I’ve done a number of suspension upgrades, Soul performance Sport cat down pipe and exhaust, half cage, recaro seats, Giro disc brakes and running track wheels 245’s up front and 305’s in the rear RE71r’s. Love the performance of the car and love chasing down GT3’s on track:-)
[/QUOTE

Do you mind sharing the exact specifications of your wheels and tires? Do you have any issues with rubbing under compression?

Thanks!
