How is a Guard Red 718 in real?
Hi everyone.
I found a 718 BGTS that I can get a 8% discount from MSRP. I saw a Carmine Red in person before and it was beautiful, but I've never seen one Guard Red. Has anyone seen a Guard Red 718 Boxster? How does the color look like in person? Thank you for your input.
I also found a used 2018 Carrara White 718 BGTS that has 3500 miles on it. The original MSRP was $96530, and it is $73,999 now. This one doesn't look like a CPO though. I didn't contact the dealer yet, so I am not sure how much discount I can get, but it seems like a good deal to me. I don't know the difference between CPO and pre-owned. What do you think?

The GR is slightly more orange than the CR Boxster that you already saw.
CR has more black in it.
Both are great. I prefer the CR. But I'd take an 8% less expensive GR car over a CR car. Everything else being equal.

The difference is that the CPO car is certified with extended warranty coverage by Porsche. The price difference can easily be $3,000 and go up from there.

Carmine Red is for those that deep down want a true, bold, confident Guards Red, but are too timid and can't quite do it. So they pay $2500 extra for the subdued, kissing your sister, not quite red.
Just kidding, 2 door Porsches look good in any color. GR is a true red, and while under certain lighting conditions can take on a bit of orange tone (red+yellow=orange), in neutral light it is just pure red. Same car in on a cloudy day, and again in late day sunlight:
