My Cayman arrived at the dealer this morning. But, no fix yet so no delivery. The issue apparently involves a front compartment bracket during a front end collision. From what I could see it included models (not sure which) manufactured from March 26, 2015 to mid-February 2019, as duegatti mentioned 3 days ago.

I’m in the same boat. The CGTS I want is sitting there on the lot, but they don’t know yet what the fix will be, and don’t have a timetable from Porsche. Could be days...could be weeks.

Latest rumor: mid-March.

It has been referred to by my SA as a 718 issue, and are waiting for Porsche to identify which models are impacted and what the fix will be.

From what I've read here it doesn't sound like a design problem. I'll be putting my money on a faulty part delivery and Porsche is working hard to find a simple, cheap fix.

Porsche development generates as many rabid speculations as Apple. (My grandmother's favourite dessert was "wait and see pudding".)

I just wanted to ask if anyone has been given any updates on an ETA for the fix? As of yesterday, there has been no updates from my dealer.

I received this email Mon. from the asst. serv. manager @ Park Place Porsche in Dallas > " No word yet. I was able to find a VIN list and found your vehicle on it. Looks like we need to add some rivets to a cross member. No information on the repair procedure yet. We’ll have to wait for Porsche. "

Same as my CGTS. I guess we're most likely on the same boat.

Does anyone know if this work is probably something that can be performed via access from under the vehicle or frunk, without having to remove any of the painted panels etc.?

A very solid question.

I’ll ask my POC that @ PPP later today/Fri & post his answer here when he replies.

gas tank is in the frunk. Only the soft lining needs to come out to get access.
