New SC Kit for the '85/86
Here's a sneak peak at the next SC kit to roll out of the 928 Motorsports Garage:
I'll try to get it dyno'd somewhere between now and Jan 10th. I already have a base-line dyno from this car pre-supercharged.
It will be priced at $4,895.00 complete.
It features an air-cooled Raptor supercharger with a ceramic coated impeller for the absolute lowest charged air temp possible.
We took a heck of a long time to develop that air filter assembly - but its a perfect fit on all years/models. I just didn't like the idea of telling a customer to cut a 3.5" hole in an inner fender to fit their cold-air intake. Now we can get cold air without that.
Merry Christmas!

Nice looking setup, what kind of boost will it make as pictured? Any fuel mapping, work on LH or EZK chips? Did you use any knock detection, whether just indicator only or timing retardation? What are doing for fan, looks like only the front A/C fan.

The Raptor is an inernally-belt driven supercharger that is milled from a billet.
It is made in Australia and we are the sole North American importer for it. I have been their dealer for going on two years now.
The Raptor was the best blower I could find bar-none for our Ferrari Mondial and 308 supercharger kits.
http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/...percharger.php
Being belt-driven and permanently-lubricated means 1) simpler installation as you do not have to run oil lines to or from the blower, and 2) cooler charge air temps (better adiabatic efficientcy) than crankcase-oiled superchargers.
Think about it... engine oil gets to 220 degrees regularly, if you lubricate your supercharger with that, you can rest assured that the supercharger will also attain that temperature. Then add the temp increase from compressing air - and the outlet air temp gets plenty hot. An Intercooler corrects this.
But here, on the 85/86, there is no room for an intercooler. So I opted to bring the Raptor over from our Ferrari kits because a) we have had really good success with them on the higher-revving Ferraris (7000 and 7500 rpm redlines), and b) their outlet temp is low enough that they are much safer to run without an intercooler.
You can read more about the Raptor here:

BTW: the price of $4,895.00 complete is a $600 reduction from the price of our previous Powerdyne kit for the same year/model of 928:

How 'bout that!

Carl,
Amazing! That is a work of art. Really nice!
Will you make that filter setup available as a separate part? If so, I'd like to order one NOW!

As always, another super nice product from 928 Motorsports!
What are the boost levels on the stock kit?
And are you providing a new ECU chip for the LH?

Louie is building a cold air intake something like this for my SC'd GT.
It looks like the filter is being sucked on very hard right at the inlet, which makes sense. I am just wondering how much volume the left 1/2 (passenger side)of the filter really adds? I mean it can't hurt but is the left half really adding much usable volume? This is not a critique, just a question. That is very nice and the best intake option by far for the pre 928SP Twin Screw guys, if you offer it to them.
