Engine is out, and on a stand. It is easy for me to install a "holder" on the flywheel in order to torque the pulley bolt. Where on earth did you find the spec? BTW; THANK YOU!

"Tighten till it gets loose and back off 1/4 turn." - redneck engineering

Personally, I'd use these numbers:

Thanks, zoomie! I had a hunch it didn't appear anywhere (???), but now I wonder if using a thread sealer will call for a different torque amount. I think that I'll use 50 lb/ft, and apply a super-thin layer of the old standby; Curil T, to both the threads and under the lock washer. BTW; the pulley bolt was so darn tight that I had to put a bar on the flywheel, and use a 2' long breaker bar with a 4' long piece of galvanized pipe to loosen it. I'm happy that the crankshaft didn't break!

Ta-da! Harness is out. Only have a couple morning hours to work before my garage is over 95F, but the old wires, including the positive battery to starter cable (not pictured) are on the floor.

Thanks, Jim! I'll be installing the pulley tomorrow, along with anything else I can get done as the temp in my garage slowly climbs to the century mark - again!

Kinda funny! One of the posters in that thread gave flywheel torque as "350 ft-lbs +". Well, I hate to bring this up, but my factory manual states flywheel gland nut/hollow bolt, torque as 250 - 267 ft-lbs. Just a little difference! BTW; only the S 90 & SC flywheels had a higher gland nut torque spec; listed in the factory Spec Book as 325 - 361 ft-lbs. The Spec Book lists the torque for all engines as 253 - 271 ft-lbs, but in a separate listing shows the S 90 & SC specs. Just sayin'.

Progress. Engine not intended to be a show winner, just sweet. Harness going in (red arrow are fuse box connections). Whew!
