Good evening,
My name is Bastian de Groot and I am a student from Rotterdam in the Netherlands where I study Automotive Engineering. (sorry for bad english) Next year I have to execute a project I can fill in myself. It has to be innovative and never executed. It also has to be about cars

I have the following idea. I want to build the complete body of an porsche 356 of bamboo. The porsche 356 is my dreamcar and it seems to me it is awesome to build (partially) your own car. Just like glassfiber it is posible to get bamboo as an dry fibermat. It is posible to lay this in a mould en vacuuminject it with resin.
( ) The mould or moulds are the shape of an Porsche 356 and are a negative print of the car. That means it is on the outside of the car and its is posible to place it over the car. Some Replica's are build this way.

My question is the following. Do you know someone or are you someone who can help me with this? I am currently looking especially looking for moulds. It is also possible to use a 356 (or 550 or something) to make a mould. I appreciate all the help!
Are you interested in a body made from bamboo for an 356? send me a message. Maybe I will make more body's from bamboo when the results are good.
