356 Barn Find-interesting story
#2
So long story short, I know a guy with an early 911 and have been trying to buy it from him for a long time. He will not sell it and I guess he got tired of me pestering him, so he tells me, he knows of a guy with an old Porsche in a barn that has been off the road since 1970's. A few weeks and numerous phone calls later, above are the pics.
The first owner ordered it with special gearing and suspension and apparently used it in Hershey as a hill climb car. The guy I bought it from parked it in 72 and would go out to the car every so often and put air in the tires, lubricate the engine, change the oil etc, but never drove it again.
When I picked up the car, it came with a few boxes of parts, all kinds of records and paperwork as well as 20 years or so of 356 Registry Magazine.
They are still out there folks...
