For those following the thread, there was a lot included with the car, the below pic is a wooden box that was sealed (nailed shut) when I went to look at the car. Apparently the original owner (the guy who was the hill climber) gave the guy who I bought the car from, this box when he bought it...it is labeled 1-3-67 (1967).
Inside the box:
Two sets of pistons-1 new set and one used set
1 cylinder head-used
Lifters-used
Timing gear and various other gears-used

Awesome find! Congrats! They are still out there - a year ago I stopped a couple blocks from home when I saw a 356 on a flatbed. Some lucky bastard bought a Convertible D, think he said he paid $38K, it was probably worth $100K!
