Three Wheelin'
Holy Crap Batman...I didn't realize you could wedge a 6 cylinder in the back of a 356...maybe I'll try to cram one in my 3- driver 356 to give it some new life...indeed, details about this project would be appreciated...

Answering some questions - Fabrication of the trailing arms and coil over shock suspension and sub frame to carry the engine/trans was performed by Rhett Searle, Southcoast Fabrication, Costa Mesa, CA.
Dry sump oil reservoir resides under back seat facade along with air-conditioning evaporator, boost controlled engine timing and water/methanol injector electronics, frame section that carries part of the engine/trans weight and upper tie points for coils/shocks.
Brakes: Dual MC, Front, 911 vented and cross drilled rotor, Rear, Wilwood drilled rotor.
Buried in the trunk’s spare tire/battery well are air-conditioning and oil cooler radiators/fans and battery. Trunk carries Stereo/CD changer, Power Distribution relay assembly for fans/pumps/engine management, water/methanol pump and storage tank.

Water/Methanol injection system is Mfg. by Snow Performance http://www.snowperformance.net/
Boost pressure start point and rate of fluid flow increase with increasing boost are adjustable.
Use of this system helps offset loss of intercooler (would not fit under 356 deck lid).

I love everything but the chrome wheels... just a personal thing, all the bling, etc. Doesn't really fit a seriously sporty Porsche when the wheels are chromed (except the Original chromed wheels/caps).

Wheels are polished - no chrome.
I agree with your observation and am leaning toward painting the wheel's background shinny black (where the original Fuchs are dull black).
Next time something breaks. . . .
