Default Can anyone identify this color?

I took a photo of this beutiful Speedster last Sunday at the Americana Concours on Long Island. I think the color is called Aqaumarine Blue Metallic. Can anyone confirm this?

I think it may be Adria Blue Metallic - the Aquamarine Blue Metallic is lighter.

You can check 356 colors here: http://www.willhoitautorestoration.com/PaintChart.htm

Do you know what year the Speedster was Mfg. in? If you do, then I can look it up in the Speedster book for you.

Nice web site. Here's a link to an Aquamarine Speedster on their web site. I think this is the same color as the one I took a photo of.

Interestingly, I have a book on 356s by James Schrager, and in his list of colors, there's no mention of Adria Blue. In fact, the only metallic blue listed for any year 356 is Aquamarine (1957 only).

Thanks. I think it was 1957. But then, the owner may have had it painted in a color that wasn't available in that year (perish the thought).

Here's a photo of an Adria Blue Speedster on theire web site. This is definitely a lighter than the Aquamarine Speedster on their web site.

The Adria definitely looks the darker one to me and much closer to the picture you posted than the Aquamarine. However, it is rather difficult to tell from a picture...

Very nice, but it does look a bit lighter than the one I photographed. Here's a photo of someone's 1957 coupe from the 356 Registry that is identified as Aquamarine. Interestingly, yours looks lighter than this one too. I guess the exposure and lighting can vary the look of this color.

I think mine looks lighter in the photo I posted due to the bright sun light. I'm pretty sure the others are the same.
