Default revell carrera speedster model

I guess I should re-subscribe to 356talk, but here goes...

Mom's been cleaning her attic. In addition to the TONS of vintage ('51 thru 80s) car magazines, the AC compressor for my 356, the original radio for the '63 coupe that dad had before buying what is now my '65 coupe, etc. Mom found ...

a Revell 1:25 scale model of a Carrera Speedster. Opened, but not put together. From what I can gather, no missing parts.

I can post pics tomorrow.

Any idea on a age and value? Only date I can find is a copyright date of 1960 on the box.

Like this one?

(BTW, not to go off on a rant here, but...I wish people would just ask if people want to buy something rather than these "what do you think the value is" thinly-veiled posts!:P )

Actually, yeah, I'm wondering about the value. If I wanted to sell it, I woulda posted something like "Angry wife selling hubbies Carrera Speedster - first $50 takes it"

Re: the ebay thing - hard to tell. Same brand. Mine is clearly labeled as a Carrera, and is a creme-white-beige color... I'll get a few pics tonite to post.

A/C used to be a "Dealer installed" optional...

neat! coupla yrs ago I found unbuilt Revell 250GTO & XKEs buried deep in a closet. nifty & not for sale. well, maybe for a sizable proportion the value of real ones bottomed-out back in the old days... naw, I'm keepin 'em... perfect late dotage projects...

Yeah, either special ordered from the factory (Porsche-aire unit, rebranded Delanaire) or Dealer Installed (like mine) - mines an Artic Kar.
