Default Engine dress up?

I would like to spruce up my engine compartment with some (not too much) chrome. Does anyone out there sell kits for this? This ebay car has a nice compartment, but a little over the top. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...QQcmdZViewItem
He had to get those pieces from somewhere...

chrome would look like crap. do it right, get cad or zinc plating on the proper trim bits, and have the tin powdercoated.

here is a 912 engine with the cad. very nice, very clean, and very correct.

you can get most ofthe nuts and screws already plated from www.classicandspeedparts.com the rest of the trim, you will have to get plated yourself.

dont forget new carb linkage, generator pully's, oil preassure sender, oil line that goes to the filtercanister and case (CSP sells that new but its not online, you can call him and order it), oil cap, and if you have stock solexes, you can get OEM hard fuel line that is cad plated too (just like it came originally).

you can also buy a cad plating kit and to it yourself or find a shop that will cad plate and bring him all your bits. you will have to do that for some pieces that are not available new (like the bracket that holds the oil filter canister).

I agree, that is more what I was thinking. The chrome thing must come from my Harley days. Hey, at least I was not asking about 356 spinner rims
