As far as I am concerned all cars are female - great when they want to work with you but if they get one of their moods.....

In German it is confusing as it is "das auto" (neuter) but then you can say "der Porsche" which is male, for something we all know is female.

They also say "das Mädchen" (neuter) for "the Girl" (normally feminine) showing they really don't know how to determine the sex of things. Mark Twain has written some good essays on the confusing nature of the German Language......

Wow. Very insightful. I'm writting a piece for my local PCA newsletter on the gender of my Boxster and I'd like to use some of this. Okay? I have never put a gender on any of my cars including the 356 C coupe but I find it very curious hearing very adult masculine types describe their rides in the feminine gender. Mike
