Ventura/Carrera
The event is for all Porsches and if you visit the web site it is celebrating all Porsche Carreras. I cannot think of a better way to spend a mid September weekend in California. I will be exhibiting my artwork, drop by... say hello and ask me about my drive from Minneapolis!

LOL I've met Michael and I don't think he'll be giving you a kiss. Me maybe, but you... I don't think so!!!
This is too funny!!! LOL
I think with this year's Ventura autofest celebrating all the Carrera's there's going to be a really big crowd!
JoAnne
PS: Michael, your art work was very popular in the goodie store at Parade. I think all your cards/ flyers were gone the first day! The other artist that was there said he wished he knew more about you, because people were asking him about your work all week long.

Jekot Artwork
I sold none of it due to my not being there! I could not convince the organizers that buyers want to know the artist, it makes the purchase more viable. Oh well, the pieces will be in Ventura where all of the art, not just the 4 at Parade, will be available. Plus a new piece that was created for the Parade Concour which I was also told I could not do. Please stop by the booth... I'd really like to see your Speedster!
Oh, I did take a First Place Professional in the art show at Parade, and it sold for full value which I donated to the Parade charity of record. Made me feel good and I hope it helped someone. The piece was a vintage 356 pre A. Go to:

PS: I took third in Amatuer Photography with my 550 Wet Tee shirt shot. Daniell Porsche loved it so I am having another print done and sending it to him for his office....

Painting
Okay, you should know that the painting is of my first Porsche. Vin #52700.
I sold the car many years ago to help finance a move to Kansas City from Denver to work for Macy's department store. The fellow who bought it in Denver turned it into a race car and it was never heard from again. Lost to any data base. Makes me sad. I purchased the car many years earlier from Bob Hagestad, the Porsche dealer in Denver where I started freelancing my artwork. He commisioned a history of Porsche done in watercolors for his showroom. Sculptor Larry Braun and I delivered 22 framed and matted watercolors in about 6 weeks. These were my first pieces done for someone other than myself. Larry a very accomplished automotive sculptor did the frames and structures that held up the watercolors. I did the paintings and matted them. What a trip.
I'm so very happy you bought it. This makes my day! See the award and piece done in my local PCA newsletter.
