The Post Pics of 356's Here Thread!!!!!

I don't know if anyone has posted this photo here before so please pardon me if it's a duplicate. I wrote an article about an old German restaurant that had been in Bellmore, NY. Someone who read the article sent me this photo but didn't know anything about it. I think it's pretty cool. The photo appears to be from the early 1960's.

^ Thx Larry! It's a beautiful little car and runs very sweetly. We had a bit of light rain this morning, but as long as there's forward momentum, you don't get too wet. By the time I reached Newcomb's I was through the marine layer and the sun was shining. Here's a couple pics from after breakfast. Be well!

According to the owner, this is the first Porsche sold in the USA. He turned down very large offers to buy it from a museum somehow affiliated with Porsche. Bought it from a junkyard for $800, restored it himself, owned a long time. Don't shoot me, just relaying the story I was told. No matter, it's a beauty!

split windshield
Not a split windshield so i doubt it. Max Hoffman imported 15 in 1950. And a friend has #5566 that he drove to college in the 50's.
