Default Restoration Shops in VA

A friend of the family is looking to restore their late father's 356 and are looking for references on good shops in / around the Northern Virginia area. I will work to find out more detail (actual type of 356 and exact type of work required), but assuming they need bodywork, interior, paint, and engine resto., are there any Porsche specific shops that could be recommended from personal experience or from word of mouth?
Thanks,
PC

Call Karosserie 703-876-6300 in Fairfax / Merrifield and ask for Lewis. They restore many $$$ 356 based cars. Just had / have one of their resorations in the Smithsonian. They have customers with multiple 4-cams and their finished worked is excellent. I have been to the shop and seen the work on the street and racing against me on the track.

Thanks everyone so far for the help. I was told that the car is currently at Stuttgart Motors (somewhere in VA?). Apparently, either they are backed up or only going to work on the car part-time, because the quoted a timeline of approx. 2 years. I'm still waiting on the details of the car and work expected, but thanks for the input. I"ll post more info once I get it.

2 years is not too bad overall. My cup car has been in Va for over a year (it is done awaiting re-assembly currently)
the prices are much better than the west coast as well (about 40% cheaper overall) and the quality is better as well

Here are a couple of pics of the car that was at the Smithsonian. Wish I had taken a few shots from the side so you can she how Lewis "stretched" the car. It is very cool. This was the first Outlaw to ever win a Best in Show at a 356 Registry Holiday.......

I'm not knocking G&W's work in anyway. G&W is a great shop and they have won their fair share of awards including the almost impossible to win and now defunct PCA Parade Manhattan Trophy. IMHO you can not lose going to either shop.
