356 EBAY FRAUD ALERT!!!!!!
Hi Guys,
Just got this off of 356talk and thought you should also know about it:
FRAUD ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently listed a Porsche 356 S90 Engine with Ebay, #7954969805 which was not sold. Ebay user EDELAPOLA has the same engine currently listed, item# 7957004582, claiming the engine is in Rome, ITALY. I can show you the engine, located in West Chester, PA. Thank You! barrett356 William G. Cooper
Consider yourselves warned.....

I've seen this scam pop up a lot and it is not just on eBay, many times these theives will take the photos, from eBay or other source, then create ads in trader publications, back on eBay, in local papers, etc.
Be careful anywhere you find a deal that looks too good to be true!

Okay, it said 'Invalid Item" because the link on 356alk was not correctly posted. I just went on Ebay and yes the auction is still running. I sent a message to ebay to report it as a possible duplicate of the original Ebay auction of item# 7954969805. However, since It was not my listing I don't know what they will do. I'm "just" a concerned Ebay user, that's all.
Lets see what Ebay does....

I don't know.
I do not think it was pulled. I think it sold because it doesn't say it was and invalid item or that the auction was stopped.

BINGO!!! Just got an update from the guys on 356talk. THEY were the ones who bid it up to the ridiculous 10 Million GPB and then told him to stick it where the cheating sun don't shine! Guess they saw Ebay wasn't going to do something about it, so they did!!
356talk guys are just like Rennlist guys, they watch out for the bad guys and help the good guys. Cool......
