Help! I need......
engine parts for an 1100... damn. i suggest you get in touch with 356 talk at the 356 registry, or contact stoddards porsche (only dealership left who supports, and restores/works with early porsches).
http://stoddard.com/contact_us.htm
also, duane spencer might be able to help you, as he is the most knowledgeable engine builder out there, since pellow passed away .. unfortunitly i dont know how to get in contact with him, but im sure the 356 registry can tell you how to get ahold of him.

Hey Harry....
It's a whole lot more difficult than that... I'm a member of the Registry, and know the "usual suspects," but 1100 parts are a whole 'nother story...
These parts simply don't exist - and are squirrled away by old timers. Most have been destroyed, or thrown away since most folks wanted to "upgrade" parts back then....and moved quickly to 1300 and 1500's.
1100's only existed for 4 years - but I can only use parts from 1950 and '51 (heads with 4 intake manifild bolts for example).
All - Please keep your eyes/ears open...

The best place to ask is Marco in www.elevenparts.com
He probably knows where you can find them.
Failing that....try Manfred Freisinger www.m-freisinger.de He has every part the factory thought they didn't need any more.

I know both Manfred and Marco... As a matter of fact, I imported some of Marco's Carrera 2 exhaust systems last year for myself and a few friends..
Again - this stuff is the real deal. Pure unobtanium. Neither have what I need. I'm hoping for an old-timer that has something sitting 'round on a shelf...
