Got my new clear corner lights from Nicole at Hooked On Cars today. They're very high quality and fit perfectly.
Now I need to get rid of the orange front side marker and I'll be a happy camper.

I'm glad you guys are happy with the product. If you haven't purchased your bulbs, yet, plese refer to the thread linked here.
This past weekend, I installed a pair on my own car - and love them, too! Now all I need to do is replace the little black bumpers with those clear Euro pieces...
I also played with window tinting foil (35%) on the side markers to see, if I can blend them in better with the darker color of my car. This is only a temporary solution for testing, as doing this right would require shaving the numbers off the lense.
The attached photo is taken in bright light, which makes the side markers still look quite orange. If the light is dime, the markers blend better. At night you can't tell there is tint on the lights.
I also put the foil on the rear marker, but now I have four different colors of lights in the rear - I'll either take it off the side marker or have to make the whole tail lights tinted. We'll see. It's fun experimenting, but also takes a lot of time.
I had hoped to persuade my vendor in Germany to make clear US side markers for me, but he's got too much on his plate. For the time being, Klearz (available sold through 928 International) is the only game in town. And I'm not sure they fit all models - apparently the pre-S4 models had a slight difference in side markers than the later models (S4 and up). Not sure what exactly that difference would be...

Too Funny Ernest!
I did bolt on the first set, I just want to make sure that the rest of my cars are good to go with clear lenses, before Nicoles supplier raise his prices or quits doing them! Of course by that reasoning I should buy three more sets just in case one gets broken by a rock or something!!
Here is a before and after pic!

Shane: Your names for the cars crack me up! Well, I can imagine how you came up with Griselda (which is not a German name, of course). But why the guards red one is the only male eludes me...
Anyway, my vendor has an early 928 as well, and from all the time and money he invested in it, I assume he will keep it for a long time. This means he will stay connected to the community and likely help when someone has a broken lens. The question is how long he will produce them in reasonable quantity, and at what price...

Shane,
Would painting the sidemarker with the red enamel that's used to do the
whole S4 rear cluster red work on your red car?
That orange side marker sticks out like a sore thumb on the clear lens cars.

That's a fabulous idea for a red car... Now why didn't I think of that? Thanks Ern! Looks like I'll swing by the hobby shop on the way home tonight. With any luck, I won't have to remove them from the car to paint!

Insyalled my clear corners this evening, and on a suggestion by Ernest (of NY), I picked up some of the Testors Candy Apple Red paint and did my side markers. Fricken Fabulous!
If anyone wants I can post a writeup with pics, but it's pretty fricken obvious how to use a spray can!
First pick is from yesterday - 2nd is from 30 minutes ago.

Very nice!
Now consider getting the Euro kit that replaces the black bumper between the turn signal and the fog/driving lights. It'll look even better, and it's only about $30 or so. Your favorite 928 parts supplier should have it or be able to order it for you.
