According to Rob Dickinson, co-founder of Singer Vehicle Design, the Porsche 911 is “singularly the most important sports car in the world.” And he might be right. Since its beginnings in the early ’60s, it’s hard to think of a sports car that is more iconic and meaningful to the entire car community than the famed Porsche

Along with Singer, /DRIVE‘s Mike Spinelli wrangled up Mike Prichinello and Zac Moseley from Classic Car Club Manhattan for the AFTER/DRIVE video below, discussing everything there is to love and know about the 911.

Why Dickinson? Well, because his Porsche restorations focus on taking the car everybody loves and using the highest level of precision to incorporate the highest level of products and materials and create the highest level of driving satisfaction possible. That type of detail-orientation means he knows his way around these cars like you know your way around your local grocery store.

And the other panelists know a thing or two too. Listen in as they breakdown exactly why these cars belong up in the clouds of greatness.
