The Only Prescription Is More Porsche 911 R

A few days ago, Porsche finished up its five-part “Driving Lessons” bit with Patrick Long and the Porsche 911 R. It was a great series highlighting the 911 R’s astounding capabilities. But, of course, with any car this good, it left you wanting more … and more … and MORE. It’s not every year you get to hear and see a factory purist’s Porsche skipping around the mountains. So, we found you more footage with great scenery, tasty audio, and no blabbering to distract you from the beauty.

Y’all probably don’t need it at this point, but a quick reminder about the 911 R: it has the naturally aspirated engine from the GT3 RS, it has similar aero but drops the wing, the interior has been stripped down for weight savings, and it has a six-speed manual. No rear seats or air conditioning or radio, 493 horsepower, carbon fiber everywhere, and a stick. What a treat.

In the video below, Autogefühl offers up seven strong minutes of footage of the car speeding, stopping, twitching off the jump, and simply cruising through the open road. Enjoy.
