Watch a Porsche Cayman GTS Chase Carrera GT Around the Nurburgring

Watch as this adorable 5-year old clock in more laps around the Nordschleife in a Porsche GTS than most professional racers.

The path of a car enthusiast follows similar steps for many of us. It begins with a love of the sights, sounds, and speeds. From there it evolves into an appreciation of the rare, the exciting, and the impressively engineered machines at the zenith of performance.

Finally, we reach stage of expression and sharing where we have an urge to share this love with those around us. If you’ll give nine minutes of your time to the video below, you can see all three steps coming together. A Carrera GT lines up for a lap at the Nurburgring, and behind it is a Porsche Cayman piloted by dad of the year, Robert Mitchell, with his darling daughter Analiese riding shotgun.

The whole video could be a scene straight out of a movie.

Porsche GTS vs Carrera GT

The Porsche Carrera GT takes off, letting that V10 wail at full song as the car bangs through gears. The sound is so crisp and loud you can hear it clearly over the Cayman’s flat-six through the entire video. A black Carrera GT being chased around the Nurburgring at speed by a Guards Red Cayman is already one our dream scenarios. It’s a battle of Porsche’s mid-engine brilliance, but the thing that really makes this video shine is the daughter in the passenger seat.

Strapped in to her overly padded and bolstered booster chair, the little girl spends the entire video smiling, pointing, asking questions and begging for more high-speed action. There is no fear, only the pure essence of joy pouring from her tiny personage. She urges her father to go faster. She recites names of several of the curves. She even asks her father to start taking the kerbs as they push the lesser Porsche to stay in the wake of the Carrera GT. You only need to see her face as they run through the karussell to know she’s loving it.

But the most precious moment of all comes in around 4:45.

“Daddy, can we do two more laps?”

“One more after this one.”

“Um how about two, I want to make four, daddy.”

I don’t think any child of ours could say anything that could make us more proud. Hit play, turn up the volume, and watch the future of our community bask in Nurburgring magic.
