A Porsche Cayenne driver almost caused a head-on accident while on the way to pick up her husband from the pub.

The rumors of a Porsche that will rival the fugly BMW X6, Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe, and even the Tesla Model X run high at the moment. But how could they not, when Porsche hasn’t tried too hard to keep its SUV-ish prototype secret?

Any way you slice it, it was another good month for Porsche Cars North America, Inc.

Late last year, Porsche set a global sales record. If the company’s U.S. sales numbers for the month of January are any indication, it looks as if it’s on track to have a great 2016.

Porsche reached a milestone in 2015: more than 50,000 U.S. sales – 51,756, to be exact.

For the first time ever, Porsche has sold more than 200,000 cars in a year. 209,894 deliveries, to be exact. And there’s still one month to go.

The bleeding from the scandal now recognized as dieselgate hasn’t stopped yet, and new wounds have opened in more companies under the VW umbrella, including Porsche.
