Step Into the Porsche’s Warehouse and You’ll Never Want to Leave

When I say the word “warehouse,” what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Perhaps rows and rows of crated goods, with mysteries abundant within? Perhaps a rat or two? Maybe something akin to Raiders of the Lost Ark?

Well, the warehouse at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart is nothing like that. In fact, judging from these photos, it may just be paradise for Porsche fans.

Via Facebook, Porsche recently opened up the virtual doors to this “heaven on earth” by sharing the photos you see here. There’s a 959 prototype, some Weissach 911s, a 911 Speedster, an original Ferdinand Porsche-designed VW Beetle, and even a BMW motorcycle with a Porsche engine.

If you’re a Porsche Motorsports fanatic, you’ll see even more unicorns. According to CarScoops: “There’s a couple of rare grand prix cars from the company’s brief foray into Formula One in the late 1950s and early ’60s, the body shell for a Le Mans prototype, a stack of 924 GTS racers, and some close-ups of a modern 911 GT3 Cup racer, complete with Martini Racing stripes.”

Unfortunately, though there’s obviously a treasure-trove within, Porsche has no plans to open the warehouse to the public. So that makes these photos all the more special. Enjoy!
