Love it or hate it, this RWB Porsche 911 took up quite a bit of space outside the 2021 SEMA Show with its massive fenders.

Of all the custom Porsche builders in the world, none are more controversial than RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (RWB), a Japanese outfit founded by Akira Nakai-San back in the 1990s. Turns out, not everyone is crazy about widebody 911s, nor chopping up coveted generations like the 993, but regardless, roughly 1,300 customers have lined up to have one built thus far. And if you’re into that sort of thing, this RWB Porsche 911 that we spotted at the 2021 SEMA Show is certain to please.

Sporting that traditional RWB Porsche 911 look – which consists of adding serious Japanese flair to the German sports car – this particular build looks great in its new gray hue. The massive over fenders make it considerably wider than stock, which is RWB’s signature look, but they also make room for some of the widest wheels and tires you’ll ever see. That’s particularly true of the rears, which are dished so deep they’ll make you want to order a pizza.

The ultra-wide 911 is also sitting pretty low, not terribly far from the ground, in fact, another signature element of RWB’s style. The requisite RAUH-Welt banner is also present across the top of the windshield, while this particular car also advertises Team Hybrid, a car club that doesn’t consist of electrified models as the name might otherwise suggest. Rather, it’s been around for over a quarter-century, and in this case, hybrid means cars that mix elements from more than one source.

Other than the massively wide fenders and rolling stock, this is a pretty clean and standard 911 with a modest ducktail spoiler out back, though we can also see a roll cage inside the cabin peeking through the glass.

No telling what lies under the hood and whether it has received any sort of performance modifications, but this RWB 911 at least has plenty of style to spare, especially if you’re into the controversial yet beloved looks that made its founder famous.
