Default Wondering what happened to the white protective plastic during my T delivery....

My SA sent me a few pics today of my T that just arrived in Florida. During my production pictures that Porsche sent me you can see the white plastic on the roof and door sills. When it arrived at the dealer the only plastic left on the car was the two front fenders. SA said the hood on my 911 didn't have the cover either. I personally have not seen the car yet in person to inspect. Odd that the silver T next to my silver T still had all the white plastic protective covering intact.

I tried attaching the SA's pictures showing the white plastic protective covering missing on my car, but when I try uploading them Rennlist says its not an "accepted file type".......

Exactly Shrimp money, thats the way every one I've seen has arrived......except mine. The only protection mine had at the dealer was the front fenders and the blue foam piece on the front bumper. All of the other protective pieces were missing somewhere between the port and the dealership

Maybe it was damaged during transport and repaired at port.

EXACTLY what I was sadly thinking.

The only white protective plastic left on my car was the front fenders. Missing was the roof, top of doors, rear fenders, and sills.

If the body and paint are intact I wouldn’t stress over it.

I need to inspect in person. I can spot repaint, repair and/or correction a mile away. If this car has been f'd with in any way I will run, not walk. I'm not paying $150,000 for a brand new repaired car!

How long was it held at port? Was it a quick offload and a couple of days later at the dealership (taking travel distance in to account)?
If anything was fixed, it'd have to be at the port.

This is probably the best indicator, if it was at port longer than usual. Are you certain they didn't remove the protective plastic because the car was going to be delivered to you? Any type of semi major repair would conceivably take time, especially if paint/bodywork are involved. I believe it has to be disclosed depending on state law, there might either be a % threshold, or they may need to disclose if asked.

Also a paint meter will help put your mind at ease.
