Rennsport Reunion to Take Over Laguna Seca in 2023
Dozens of Porsche icons are set to take to the track September 28 at the annual Rennsport Reunion.
When thinking of an iconic racetrack in the U.S., it’s hard not to immediately think of Laguna Seca. The course features a host of elevation changes, a wild long straight that descents into a sharp first corner, and the iconic “corkscrew” corner. So, it only makes sense that Porsche has hosted tits Rennsport Reunion there multiple times. Now, it’s going back again! If you love Porsche racing heritage, you absolutely must not miss this event.
In a recent Porsche press release, the iconic German sports car manufacturer announced that Rennsport Reunion Seven will take place at Laguna Seca. Don’t get too excited just yet, though. The event isn’t happening until next fall. Historically, though, the event has brought on plenty of reasons to be excited.

Porsche Rennsport Reunion Six also took place at Laguna Seca back in 2019. At that event, there were some remarkable icons and staples of Porsche history. Rarely do you get the chance to see a Porsche 917 or a Dakar Rally spec 959. Moreover, it’s even rarer to see them in action. However, Rennsport Reunion offers exactly that opportunity.
“California and Porsche are a dream pairing, and the Monterey Peninsula is an ideal spot to bring the two together for an unforgettable weekend with so much happening both on and off the track,” said Kjell Gruner, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America Inc.
“Rennsport Reunion is for everyone – we’re creating an experience that’s special, whether you’re a long-time enthusiast or are new to Porsche and are learning about our cars for the first time. Rennsport Seven is going to be bigger and more exciting than ever, and yet at its core, it’s the people that sets it apart – all are welcome, and I can’t wait to share our plans in the coming months,” continued Gruner.
Though we don’t yet have any specific details about what or who will be in attendance, it’s perfectly safe to assume it’ll be worth the wait. Furthermore, if you’re a Porsche enthusiast, it’s worth traveling from just about anywhere!
