Whether you have a 997 or a 928, our guides can help you maintain your Porsche as well as turn up the performance to ‘Ring levels.

Do you happen to have a 928, 993, or 997 in your garage? Are looking to get the most out of your Porsche, or just want to keep it running for the long haul. Well, you’ve come to the right place, as we at Rennlist have how-to guides on just those very cars.

If you’re wondering what to expect from our guides, then here’s one from way back in 2015 for performance mods you can perform on your 993 911, from the easiest upgrade that can be done in no time, to one that will require tools you may or may not have on hand.

Porsche 993 911

This particular guide on the 993 911 focuses on upgrading your car’s air intake, exhaust, and suspension systems. The first, of course, is a simple swap between your stock intake and a high-flow example. Only a small cash outlay and basic tools will get your 993 all the air it needs in only 30 minutes or so.

Of course, all of that air going in needs a way out, which means upgrading the exhaust. This one may take a bit more effort, and you’ll need a lift or access to one to complete the install. But that’s nothing compared to the final upgrade, involving your shocks and struts. Making your 993 dance around the corners may be out of your skill range, but if you got the right tools and know what you’re doing, this swapping out the stock units for new ones will be worth the effort.

Porsche 928

As stated earlier, we have plenty of how-tos for the 993 and 997 911s, as well as the 928. If you’d like guides for your Boxster, Cayman, or Panamera — or any Porsche, for that matter — let us know. We just might add to our library in the future. In the meantime, feel free to check out what we do have, whether you own any of the Porsches available, or are in the market for them (if the latter, check out our marketplace first, by the way).
