Meet the Most Powerful Porsche Macan Turbo Ever

The Porsche Macan has been been a such a sales success for the German manufacturer, that more trims and models have been created just to keep up with the massive and diverse demand.

The latest compact SUV to rollout from Zuffenhausen is also the most powerful Macan ever produced, and it sits at the very top of the model range — the Macan Turbo with Performance Package. Porsche claims it impresses with enhanced driving properties, increased agility and an even greater emotional appeal. Oh, and not to mention it looks pretty darn sweet.

While it’s puzzling why it’s not called the Macan Turbo S, the turbocharged 3.6-litre V6 engine now produced 440 horsepower, which is a hefty 40 horsepower increase from the “regular” non-performance package Turbo. Zero-to-60 mph time decreases quite drastically from 4.8 seconds to a lightning-quick 4.4 seconds, which is impressive considering the Macan can carry more people and cargo than many other sports cars from different manufacturers.

However, it is not just the engine power that is given a boost in the Macan Turbo equipped with the Performance Package – a newly developed brake system, lowered body, controlled sports chassis, Sport Chrono Package and sports exhaust system are all fitted as standard. The majority of these options are similar to the equipment found across most of the current Porsche lineup.

The Porsche Macan Turbo with performance package is on sale now, and in Germany it will cost a whopping EUR 91,142.90, which is approximately $82,000 dollars.
