Porsche Owners Get Two New Attractive Monoblock Wheel Options
Forged, one-piece monoblock wheels offer up a best of all worlds series of benefits for Porsche owners on street and track.
Wheels remain perhaps the most popular modification Porsche owners make to their rides. And it’s pretty easy to see why. Swapping out wheels is one of the easiest ways to dramatically transform the way your ride looks and feels. It’s also a great way to cut weight, so long as you choose the right ones. One-piece monoblock wheels are a great option for these and a number of other reasons. And now, custom wheel manufacturer Forgeline Motorsports has a couple more attractive options to add to their already large selection of Porsche wheels.
The Dayton, Ohio-based manufacturer just unwrapped two brand new designs – the 15-spoke NW102 and the split V-spoke NW103. That brings their selection of one-piece monoblock wheels to an even 30, which is notable for a number of reasons. Each wheel is machined from a single 6061-T6 aluminum forging, which results in a product that is extremely stiff, exceptionally strong, and very lightweight. Thus, you get the best of all worlds. Great looks for the street, and less unsprung weight for the track.
The new NW102 design features 15 multidimensional spokes, including five split spokes that span integrated lug holes. They feature strong chamfered edges and five more unique grooved single spokes that reach outward beyond the lug holes. The NW103 sports a unique look as well, featuring five split V-spokes that span integrated lug holes with intricate, multidimensional edges. Each of them also features a cutout along the spokes’ inner edge and a a deep chamfered outer edge.
Another interesting thing that sets Forgeline apart from most wheel manufacturers is that they don’t mass produce their products. Each set of wheels is custom built to customer specs in sizes ranging from 18″ to 22″. A wide variety of offsets means that you can get a set of wheels that fit perfectly, instead of just settling for some designed to fit a wide variety of applications. Customers can choose their own color and finish as well for a truly unique look.
