Default 2024 GTS suspension changes?

Looking into lowering springs and noticed Flat6motorsports says that KW HAS no longer fits 24 GTS. I reached out to their support and they said for '24, the 992 GTS now uses turbo rear suspension and standard front carrera suspension.

I had thought the 992 GTS SPASM always had turbo rear suspension and higher spring rates?

Were there any changes to 2024 GTS that differed from prior model years?

The GTS is now using the Turbo rear suspension. The 24 T, Base and S seem to have larger lower spring perches but can still utilize the 20-23 springs. We're working with our partners to get a GTS kit together but the larger brands don't move quick.

The specs for the standard GTS suspension (lowered) that I've seen published were identical to the Turbo. Lowered, same spring rates, same helper springs. If you spec'd a Targa 4 or the optional (raised) PASM, you got the S suspension. I find it odd they'd change for 2024. Of course, 2025 (hybrid) is a whole new ball of wax.

Very odd they changed it for only one year of the .1’s. Is there any benefit to having the turbo rear suspension for 2024 models?

how does the turbo suspension for the 2024 GTS differ from 2022 and 2024 models?

Our assumption is it will carry forward for the 992.2 but we'll see. It could have just been a supply chain thing.

I thought the 992.1 GTS (non Targa) always used the Turbo Rear suspension, or was it just the Helper springs and not the rest of the suspension?

.....So basically KW HAS only fits non-GTS carreras as one specifically for the GTS hasn't been made yet. I don't think it's incompatibility is specific to '24 model year. Trying to read the explanation sounds more confusing than it needs to be lol

I’ve come to the conclusion that if you have a 24 model that has SPASM… you should use the turbo SPASM specific kits , as that is basically what the GTS with SPASM has… the Turbo SPASM suspension setup

why would you fit a KW HAS setup ( for a base and an S ) on a car that has a different setup from factory?

Very interested in this. Seems crazy to make a suspension change just before coming out with an updated 992.2 model. I just got my 2024 992.1 GTS and was already bummed about the whole bilstein coilover situation. I hope this doesnt gum it up any more than it was. I hope KW gets things figured out and it's as simple as getting the turbo kit or something. To make things even less clear tho, the techart HAS kit seems to still be listed for the 2024 GTS. 🤷‍♂️ Guess that's what I'll get?

those generic groupings are what disturb me.

It says with or without SPASM.!!!
but SPASM has different spring rates, so so how can the kit be a one stop shop for 2/3 different types of suspension. Sorry I don’t buy it!

if The spring rates are less than what you currently have , it isnt really an upgrade is it? Unless I’m missing something??

I think I’m gonna go with a fixed drop spring kit designed for the Turbo SPASM, which is what I currently have on my GTS.

I feel this will be a true upgrade to what I currently have.

as flat six has said the only difference they can see is that the spring perches are slightly different… or did I read that wrong?

so what about the front on the ‘24 models?
have you looked at the front on a 24 GTS?

now that is bizarre!!!
why would they states other own documents that the suspension is effectively the Turbo SPASM but yet you have discovered that it is the same as the base Carrera.

unless of course the only change on all models is a change to the rear suspension only!!?
