Porsche Motorsport Drops New Film Honoring Heritage

From the very first vehicles wearing the Porsche badge to the new, cutting-edge sports cars, the brand is laced with motorsport history.

When it comes to motorsport iconic brands, the Porsche name is in the company of  Ferrari, Ford, Mercedes and the other greats. For decades now, we have watched in awe as Porsche has built some of the world’s greatest racing cars–directly translating that knowledge and prowess to their street lineup. And through it all, legendary models like the 911 still maintains its essential DNA even with a healthy diet of new technology. This unparalleled mastered balance of heritage and innovation continually keeps Porsche at the top of its game, looking firmly into the future.

But, with every new Porsche feature or innovation comes a long road of trial and tribulation on the track. Powertrain improvements, suspension pieces, you name it: anything making its way into the lineup of sports cars has been proven on the racetrack. This meticulous process is documented and celebrated in Porsche’s latest video release.

The short film depicts a young enthusiast walking through a room filled with some of Porsche’s greatest ever machines–each living with their own memories of motorsport greatness. Even with all of the focus on heritage and a successful past, the film ends with a teasing preview of the latest Porsche racer, the 919 Hybrid.
