Porsche 992 Stinger GTR Limited Carbon Edition by TopCar Design
The 992 Stinger GTR Limited Carbon package consists of 84 parts made of 4 layers of carbon fiber and only 13 will be produced.
Don’t you hate it when you drive your new 992 Turbo S to the local coffee shop and there are already three others just like yours sitting in the parking lot? Well, the 992 Stinger GTR Limited Carbon Edition by TopCar Design might be the solution to that first world problem. Only a baker’s dozen will ever be made so the odds of hitting the Powerball are better than seeing another of these on the street. And this package certainly will make your Turbo S stand out from all the others. Even paint to sample can’t match the wow factor that comes with this carbon fiber kit. Of course, paint to sample doesn’t cost one hundred thousand Euros, however, that is the price of the Stinger GTR Limited Carbon Edition. And that is before options.
So, what exactly do you get for your cash outlay? Well, the package consists of 84 parts made of 4 layers of carbon fiber. An external, internal and 2 structural layers. The result is a fantastic looking car. Looks can be subjective of course, and it might not be to everyone’s taste. However, the workmanship appears to be first class.
This is not some carbon fiber looking tape slapped over plastic parts. And it doesn’t look too over the top. Although some of the yellow highlights we could do without. Some kits like this can come off as gaudy show pieces, but this car looks like an amazing custom build. The price almost begins to look like a bargain. You can see this build in motion on the RoCars YouTube channel.
As good as the standard kit is, this is a Porsche after all. And you can’t have a Porsche without some options. So, the folks at TopCar Design offer some stand-alone options to further customize your ride. There are several different exhaust upgrades that you can choose from. The car shown here is optioned with the Akrapovic titanium exhaust.
It looks and sounds great but will cost you an additional 6,500 Euros. You can also spec a set of forged wheels for 8,000 Euros. And if you want to go all in, there is the full custom interior treatment for a whopping 35,000 Euros. Hey, it is only money, right?
Speaking of money, this car is obviously not cheap. Figure the car and the kit will run you about $300,000. But, compared to something like a Singer or Gunter Werks, the Stinger GTR Limited Carbon Edition is a bargain.
And the Porsche 992 Turbo S certainly has the performance chops to back up the exotic looks. Some folks say the Porsche 911 is not an exotic car, and that makes sense. However, the performance of the Turbo S combined with the stunning looks of this carbon fiber package certainty moves the needle closer to the exotic side of the spectrum.
Watch the video below and make up your own mind on if you think this kit is worth the money. But money aside, it is hard to deny that this is a fantastic looking car. The Akrapovic titanium exhaust also makes it sound as good as it looks. Let us know what you think of this build on the Rennlist forums.
