We all know that a new, freshly updated Porsche Panamera is coming. Thanks to some eagle-eyed photographers in California, we have an up-close-and-personal look at the company’s four-door, family hauler.

The previous Panamera’s looks were a bit of either love or hate. From the front, head-on, it looked like every other Porsche. That meant it looked good. But in the profile view, some people thought it looked too stretched. The rear view was also a bit… different. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and while I wasn’t a big fan of the Panamera’s looks, it’s difficult to argue with the car’s performance.

The new car, in these shots, looks a bit more smoothed out. The rear end doesn’t appear as jarring, but the car keeps the functional rear hatch. If these spy shots are a reflection of the final product, it looks a lot more like the Audi A7 in the rear. That’s a good thing.

Expect powerplants to be similar to what is available now, with a turbocharged 6-cylinder and a V8 as options. Also expect the hybrid to make its way into the new car as well.

We should be close to the official reveal of the new car, and we’ll be share to share it with you once the information becomes officially available.
