K20-Swapped Porsche 911 SEMA 2018

We’re live from SEMA 2018, where this insane Honda-powered Porsche 911 caught our attention for some very good reasons.

SEMA is a place for all the big players in the automotive industry to show off their wares. And in such a massive sea of eye-grabbing rides, it can be hard to do just that. Thus, you’ve got to build something truly unique if you want to make people stop and pay attention. Suffice to say, Turn 14 Distribution did just that by gracing our eyeballs with this K20-swapped Porsche 911 sporting a wild multi-color paint job.

Surprisingly, however, this is far from the first vintage Porsche 911 using a four-cylinder Honda engine for power. It might seem strange at first, but there are valid reasons for committing this act of blasphemy. For starters, these little Honda engines are light, not to mention cheap and easy to modify. They’re also obviously very reliable. And they give the car near perfect weight distribution.

Thus, there are actually a few Porsche 911 examples running around with Honda K-Series engines under the hood. And of course, with giant turbos hanging off the sides. But Turn 14’s conversion is probably the nicest one we’ve seen yet. Aside from the wild jungle-patterned visuals, it packs some hefty rubber and the perfect stance. And the engine bay is incredibly clean and well-engineered.

Thus, this isn’t your average junkyard swap. A ton of time, thought, and engineering went into making this Porsche 911 something truly unique. And if nothing else, we can dig it for those reasons.

At the end of the day, this unique ride is perfect for SEMA. But it’s also just one of many insane cars we’re bringing you as we’re live from Las Vegas all week long. So stay tuned!
