Breaking a 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in on the Nürburgring

What did you do the first time you got your new sports car? Drive it home and admire it in your driveway? Take it for a nice, leisurely drive through town? Or maybe you took the spirited twisty road just outside of town? Whatever you did, it surely wasn’t nearly as amazing as what Rennlist member TRAKCAR did after taking delivery of his beautiful new 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

That’s because he took his toy, dubbed Mr. Purple, on a track tour that included hitting up the legendary Nürburgring. Here’s what he said at the start of the thread, which details his adventure:

“Flying Tuesday to pick up the car on Thursday and drive to the Ring for a Manthey track day on Friday. … This time no Mancation, wife of 20 years is along for the ride for the first 8 track days. 

I have another 10 or so track days booked after she heads home. We will visit the Ring, attack Spa, Red Bull Ring and Paul Ricard together Sept 25-Oct14, after that I will go Mancation and do Dijon, Magny Cours, Hockenheim, Anneau Du Rhin and again one last hurrah at the Ring Oct 26th.”
