Before the official debut of the new Cayenne on August 29, pictures of the high-performance, luxury SUV have surfaced.

The 2018 Porsche Cayenne will officially be debuted on August 29, which is quickly approaching. The automaker even has plans to allow enthusiasts to watch the debut of the vehicle from Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen live in an event that will have a presentation filled with music, choreography, a light show, and more. Unfortunately, for Porsche, images of the new Cayenne have made their way online, revealing the SUV in its entirety.

Auto Express got their hands on the images first, which have now found their way to the rest of the Internet. At the front, the new Cayenne features slight changes over the previous model, instead of a complete redesign. The front fascia looks wider thanks to a more substantial center grille, which now has two vents on both sides.

From the front, the Cayenne looks extremely similar to the new Panamera, with a homologous headlight design, hood, and front fascia layout. That’s not a bad thing, but the look’s a lot more conservative than we thought it would be. The side of the SUV hasn’t changed much either, but the rear now features 3D LED taillights and a light bar that, you guessed it, looks like it’s been taken right off of the Panamera.

The interior of the new Cayenne has more cues from the Panamera, as the majority of the buttons appear to be touch-based, while an enormous touchscreen makes up most of the dashboard. It’s another series of modest changes on the inside that, hopefully, will make the SUV easier to use.

The new Cayenne will utilize VW’s new MLB Evo platform and share a lot of the same components as the Audi Q7 and the forthcoming Volkswagen Touareg. As far as powertrain options go, the Cayenne is expected to share the same range of V6, V8, and plug-in hybrid options. And while the rest of the world will get a diesel engine, we don’t expect that motor to make its way to the U.S.

Like the way the new Cayenne looks? Good, because you’ll only have to wait a few more days to see the new SUV in its entirety. Until then, check out all of the leaked images of the Cayenne above.
