1979 Porsche Commercial Shows Where the Track Meets the Street
Porsche is a brand with a reputation that stretches miles, decades, and generations. They are unbeatable when it comes to performance, design, and popularity. They not only look great, and are a blast to drive, but they perform beyond expectation too. And they win. They frequently best their competition, leaving them in the dust, no matter the track or opposition. Porsche was built to win, and they do so with grace.
Today we get to look at a commercial from 1979 promoting the Porsche 924, 928, and 911SC. The ad immediately brings up the fact that Porsche wins, stating that “since 1948, Porsche has won more than 400 major races here and abroad.” From there, the clip mentions that “what we have learned there, we have put into practice” on the street. We all know that this is true, and we couldn’t be happier that even now, Porsche still makes the greatest rides of all time.
