1967 911S 'Outlaw' Build for Sale in Rennlist Forums

Classic 911 was once a vintage race car. Now it has been converted to an amazing street-able hot rod.

If you spend some time browsing the Rennlist marketplace, you can easily find some stunning vehicles for sale. The vehicle we are presenting to you today is without a doubt one of those special ones. This is a 1967 911S that is far from stock. It is actually a one of a kind build. You most likely won’t ever see another one like it. The current owner of this car is Rennlist user Mrm 930. It is currently for sale here on Rennlist and you can find it here. He states that he has owned this 911 for 2 and a half years and dubs it the “street hot rod” or “outlaw build”. We will get into the details of why those titles are so fitting.

According to the owner, the custom suspension and drivetrain work was not performed by him, but rather the previous owner. The car before his ownership had been used as a vintage race car for 25 or so years. We are so happy to see classic 911’s like this one still being treated out to some corners and high speeds. However, don’t think because this 911 has seen literal decades of track time that it’s thrashed. This car was held to a higher standard than most when it came to upkeep and maintenance.

According to the owner, this 911 is completely rust-free and is numbers matching. The car was originally a paler yellow known as Bahama Yellow. However, the new paint is a much brighter and warmer lemon-like yellow known as Signal Yellow. However, this was no budget build, the paintwork was done down to the frame. When the current owner purchased the car, his intention was to turn this decorated racer into an amazing street car. However, it is not a straight-forward process turning a purpose-built race car into a street car.

According to the ad, the current owner has gone through a incredibly detailed process to get this 911 back on the street. The comprehensive list includes 58 different items that were changed on the car to get it legal. This includes thing such as adding new headlights, turn signals, and windshield washers. Even the chassis harness was changed from the race-spec model back to a factory model to get the electronics in the car to function.

We don’t know what this Porsche looked like before its second conversion, but the condition of the car currently is so beautiful its hard to ignore. I’m assuming if I saw this 911 on the street my jaw would break instantly at first glace. Those local to Nebraska should definitely take a look at this thing if you have the coin for a build like this. Props to whoever becomes the next owner. You’ll without a doubt have one of the most beautiful classic Porsches anywhere.
