Porsche over estimated their customers capability which resulted in too many CGT's.

I have never heard of one capable driver sell their CGT without regret - read the threads and the sellers who want back in but their wallet spoke / speaks louder than their passion.

The 300k price variance due to miles speaks volumes as why someone buys a CGT - it is what it is .... lots and lots of feather dusters.

Well said...

Much must be invested to learn how to handle this vehicle, let's not even delve into actually driving it uphill in stop-n-go traffic or in peculiar situations.

In the Nicholas Cage movie "Gone in 60 seconds" - for those that watched it - the way he sweet-talked his Elanor mustang in the movie towards the ending, resonates with most CGT drivers (some might even do the same), you must respect the car, you cautiously push up your confidence with its limits, but you reap what you sow !

i dont think i can afford the CGT now. it is one of my biggest regret of not buying one when i could. it's not perfect and ti's not a car for everyone. it's a one of those things that you either "get it" or don't. i have driven many CGT that my gracious frineds own. my summary is, if anyone has to ask any questions about the CGT after one drive, then it is not the car for them...

Default Recommended Transporters for CGT

When I was buying my Ford GT, Intercity Line was highly recommended due to their experience handling these cars. Is there a particular Transport company recommended for the CGT?

Where is the CGT - Congrats.

Lot's of snowbirds shipping cars back to their primary residence you may want to reach out to your local dealer.

Prefer fed Ex Passport - few extra bucks they guarantee delivery used them a handful of times.

FedEx service (custom critical) are the highest level out there if your car transport is time sensitive to the hour, and believe me they'll charge you for it. Used them in the past, terrific but too costly for the average consumer, unless time is not negotiable.

Tried all the big transporters over the years, the best value/service/quality CONSISTENTLY remain:

West Coast: JP Logistics
http://jplogistics.net

East Coast: Reliable
http://www.reliablecarriers.com

No affiliation, but both stood out of the crowd, best of luck !

the world would have to go down the toilet for the CGT to drop below 500k at this point.

I was a buyer at 350-400k.

Looks like I will have to continue dreaming.

Kudos to those that have one.

Understand - when I bought mine dragged my race trailer with extended ramps tilted it all the way back for a super smooth entry. Might be worth finding a single car hauler or a race team type hauler.often used a guy named Bubba call Speedworks in Florida for his number.

yes, I know a few race teams with trailers. Is the CGT too wide for semi's?

Intercity transported my CGT.
They are very professional and have transported quite a few of these cars.

Not too wide - if my trailer did not have a side door would have had to climb the car for entry and exit.

Best of luck.

I would take $100 Intercity push. I was nuts when my CGT was being delivered.
